After a week hiatus, it was good to be back with you!  Ten teams packed Doc's Downtown last Tuesday and partook in an extremely exciting night of LDT. Is With Stupid jumped out to a quick lead and held on to it by the skin of their toof all night. There were no correct answers on the final question, so Stupid was able to hang on and finally grab that elusive trophy! Congrats to them! These Doc's LDT games are getting brutal! We had eight teams fighting it out last week. Scratching and clawing for first place through six, very hard-fought rounds. Fending off the others for most of the night, The Thunder Buddies held on to a slim lead by the end of regulation play. It looked like it was finally going to be their night. The final question had several correct answers---- but no wagers from the top third of the scoreboard. Before we could all go home, we had to have a tie-breaker for the second time in as many weeks. We had another spirited game of LDT last Tuesday as we kicked off July. Nine teams partook in my little competition. ECE jumped out to an early lead and fended-off At It Again and Diamond Dogs for most of the night. In the end, there were no correct answers on the final question and ECE hoisted the trophy high. Last week was insane. We had 11 teams goin' at it all night long. The game was tight. The competition was intense. The tension was palpable. In the end, Diamond Dogs and Gen3 came up with big final question answers and tied the game at the top of the board. It took two tie-breakers to settle the score! We had a real barn-burner last week as Diamond Dogs went for the elusive Threepeat. They put up a valiant effort and were sitting in second-place by just one point at the end of round six. The final question had zero correct answers, and the wagering juggled the board just enough to create a tie for first place between Diamonds and At It Again. A quick tiebreaker decided the final standings, and we crowned a new champion- At It Again! Congrats to them! For this week's bonus points, draw a hammock in round two.
